Summary: Old Fort Park is the site of the former Fort Pierce, a military installation constructed by the U.S. Army in during the Second Seminole War (1835-1842) as well as an Ais Burial Mound believed to date back to 1500-1760. The investigation returns a few anomalies, but is inconclusive.
